Love rules without law

Could you as a black professional woman fall in love with someone broke and ugly?

Could you as a black professional woman fall in love with someone broke and ugly?

Love rules without law

First, you have to ask yourself are you just looking for something new, exciting and different? Are you looking at that person as the person for the moment or the person for life? In the first case whether he was ugly and broke it will not matter because you are not in it for the long haul. When you begin a relationship whether it is just friendship only, you must be open and honest to that person so they understand your intentions.

They need to know what you can do for them, and what you absolutely will not do for them. This level of personal conversation when you first meet someone is the solid foundation for open communication, no need to have awkward conversations about you making more money than him or her and setting a precedent for lingering insecurities.

Dating someone who makes less money than you often opens up a new world socially. Sometimes we need to step back in order to change our own perspective and learn about ourselves in asking why it matters if I attend board of directors meetings and my significant other washes cars.

Most of us hit a crossroads at some point in our lives, whether we are not sure what we want or what or the direction in life is going to be. An unexpected event may happen and we may find ourselves with unsurmountable medical bills or an unforeseen natural disaster and we could be in the position of not having money to fall back on as a safety net.

Do not use money or looks as a barometer to whether or not to date a person, together you could be strong and learn about each other inside and out. So do not pass on the opportunity to meet someone just because they make less money than you do or their looks are not up to society's so-called standards. If a person is kind and intelligent, then regardless of their pockets or missing left eye go for love.

Exploring love in many forms of friendship, dating, intimacy, and marriage are all challenges but love is love. Yes sometimes love is messy but mostly it is marvelous. Falling in love teaches us to believe there is nothing better than love, the latest, highest, and most involved example of emotion in the human race.

A good figure, in a power suit with big muscular arms, and neck, a clear complexion, a lovely face, are all outward and visible signs of the physical qualities but the inside of a person could be rotten. Choose wisely, marry a skunk for their money, but when the money is gone, the skunk remains.

To love and to be wise are two different things.
